Our Puppy Room was initially our daughter’s room. She has since moved to Florida for an exciting career with Disney. We take the delivery of our Traditional and Biewer Yorkshire Terriers very seriously. My goal is to provide the best quality of care to our dam and the litter. My dam has a sonogram during pregnancy to verify viability of the litter and establish the number of pups we should be expecting. Once pregnancy is verified we make sure the Puppy Room is stocked and ready.
Our Puppy Room is filled with plenty of sunshine. It is complete with State of the Art equipment to include an incubator and oxygen in the event we have a pup not doing well and in need of extra medical attention. We have a fetal doppler to monitor the heartbeats of the pups during pregnancy and a stethoscope to monitor mother’s heartrate. I am always present for the whelping of the pups. This is to ensure mother and pups do not encounter any problems. I even sleep in the room when delivery is upon us. Our Puppy Room is kept exceptionally clean and well organized. Our pups are weighed several times a day for the first two weeks of their lives. After the two week mark, our pups are weighed daily.
